Bring-a-brick for the ‘Egg-straodinary’ Charity Build
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester is calling all young LEGO lovers to come and donate a LEGO brick from their collection to the centre in a bid to raise bricks for the Wood Street Mission which will then give them to underprivileged children across Manchester and Salford to play with.
The aim of the initiative is to donate over 15,000 bricks to Wood Street families with the help of the 1,500 visitors a day visiting the centre. Visitors bringing a brick will be asked to add it to the gigantic LEGO® Easter egg, which is being built as part of the activity to showcase the scale of the donation and the public support.
I think it’s a really lovely idea and fosters community involvement…I’m sure the youngsters who will receive the bricks will be really chuffed!
At the end of Easter when all the bricks have been collected, the giant egg will then be dismantled and the bricks will be delivered!
How totally cool is that?!
We are going this week and will add some bricks to the Easter Egg 🙂
See you there?
